The Beaded Half Round drop end outlet is designed for use at the end of a run of guttering. The external outlet has a socket on one side to connect to the guttering with a plain end and the drop end internally locates inside the socket of the guttering. Standard outlet sizes for the 4″, 4.5″ & 5″ Beaded Half Round are either 65 or 75mm. The 6″ profile can also accept a 100mm outlet.
The drop-end outlet forms part of our Beaded Half Round cast iron gutters range and is available as either an internal or external fitting. The external drop-end outlet is designed for use on a plain end of guttering whereas the internal fits inside a socket. This fitting is for use at the end of a run of guttering. For outlet positions in the middle of a run, the Beaded Half Round nozzle outlet should be used.
The Beaded Half Round drop end outlet is supplied as internal and external rather than left or right hand because, with the Beaded Half Round profile, you can decide whether to position your gutter socket on the left or right which will determine which drop end you require.
Sizes for the external drop end outlet are:
4″ = 195mm with the centre of the outlet at 81mm
4.5″ = 195mm with the centre of the outlet at 80mm
5″ = 195mm with the centre of the outlet at 59mm
6″ = 195mm with the centre of the outlet at 75mm
Sizes for the internal dropend outlet are:
4″ = 195mm with the centre of the outlet at 59mm
4.5″ = 195mm with the centre of the outlet at 75mm
5″ = 195mm with the centre of the outlet at 56mm
6″ = 195mm with the centre of the outlet at 75mm
The cast iron Beaded Half Round drop end outlet is supplied in either a grey primer or gloss black painted finish.
Cast iron gutters and pipes enhance the appearance of both traditional and contemporary projects whilst providing significant benefits over other rainwater systems. Cast iron guttering, pipes and hopper heads offer unrivalled strength, durability, low operational noise levels, environmental benefits and a lifespan that makes the installation of these products a once-in-a-generation event.
A gutter is a cast iron trough with a socket at one end and a spigot at the other for making internal and external connections to other gutter lengths and fittings, for example, outlets, that connect to a rainwater pipe. Gutters collect rainfall as it runs off the roof and allows the water to drain away from the fabric of the building into the drain pipes and then the drains. Cast iron gutters should be straight as if badly warped this makes installation problematic. As with cast iron rainwater pipes, they should have an even and consistent finish that will allow for the unobstructed flow of rainwater. Both our cast iron plain half-round and beaded half-round gutters are cast centrifugally to ensure that the gutters are straight and have an even metal thickness.
