The Beaded Half Round stop end is designed for use at the end of a run of guttering and can be used in conjunction with any of the Beaded Half Round range of gutter fittings. The external stop end is bigger than the piece it connects to and sits over the plain end and the stop end internally locates inside the socket of the gutter or fitting.
The stop end forms part of our Beaded Half Round cast iron gutters range and is available as either an internal or external fitting. The external stop end is designed for use on a plain end of guttering whereas the internal fit inside a socket. This fitting is used to finish off the end of a run of guttering to stop water from escaping.
The Beaded Half Round stop end is supplied as internal and external rather than left or right hand because, with the Plain Half Round profile, you can decide whether to position your gutter socket on the left or right which will determine which stop end you require.
Sizes for both the internal & external stop end fittings are:
4″ = 50mm
4.5″ = 50mm
5″ = 50mm
6″ = 50mm
The cast iron Beaded Half Round stop end is supplied in either a grey primer or gloss black painted finish.
Cast iron gutters and pipes enhance the appearance of both traditional and contemporary projects whilst providing significant benefits over other rainwater systems. Cast iron guttering, pipes and hopper heads offer unrivalled strength, durability, low operational noise levels, environmental benefits and a lifespan that makes the installation of these products a once-in-a-generation event.
A gutter is a cast iron trough with a socket at one end and a spigot at the other for making internal and external connections to other gutter lengths and fittings, for example, outlets, that connect to a rainwater pipe. Gutters collect rainfall as it runs off the roof and allows the water to drain away from the fabric of the building into the drain pipes and then the drains. Cast iron gutters should be straight as if badly warped this makes installation problematic. As with cast iron rainwater pipes, they should have an even and consistent finish that will allow for the unobstructed flow of rainwater. Both our cast iron plain half-round and beaded half-round gutters are cast centrifugally to ensure that the gutters are straight and have an even metal thickness.
