    Product Details

The cast iron Ogee drop end outlet is designed for use at the end of a run of guttering. The external outlet has a socket on one side to connect to the guttering with a plain end and the drop end internally locates inside the socket of the guttering.

The drop end outlet forms part of our Ogee cast iron gutters range and is available as either an internal or external fitting. The external drop end outlet is designed for use on a plain end of guttering whereas the internal fit inside a socket. This fitting is for use at the end of a run of guttering. For outlet positions in the middle of a run, the common Ogee nozzle outlet should be used.

The Ogee dropend outlet is supplied as internal and external rather than left or right hand.

Sizes for the external dropend outlet are:

4″ = 195mm with the centre of the outlet at 81mm

4.5″ = 195mm with the centre of the outlet at 80mm

5″ = 195mm with the centre of the outlet at 59mm

6″ = 195mm with the centre of the outlet at 75mm

Sizes for the internal drop end outlet are:

4″ = 195mm with the centre of the outlet at 59mm

4.5″ = 195mm with the centre of the outlet at 75mm

5″ = 195mm with the centre of the outlet at 56mm

6″ = 195mm with the centre of the outlet at 75mm

The cast iron Ogee drop end outlet is supplied in either a grey primer or gloss black painted finish.

This is a genuine cast iron rainwater system supplied by a well-established UK foundry. Offering significantly more benefits than plastic cast iron effect and other rainwater systems, traditional cast iron products are proven to be versatile, durable, and reliable and these sustainable products continue to meet the changing demands of modern industry.

Cast Iron is one of the best choices for rainwater, soil and drain products due to its sustainability, longevity, durability and reliability. It is a cost-effective product that will last the life of a building and beyond and does not contribute to the growing environmental impact caused by the over use of plastic.

Whilst more commonly used on Heritage projects the cast iron Ogee profile can enhance the appearance of both traditional and contemporary projects whilst providing significant benefits over other rainwater systems. Cast iron guttering, pipes and hopper heads offer unrivalled strength, durability, low operational noise levels, environmental benefits and a lifespan that makes the installation of these products a once-in-a-generation event.

Our Victorian Ogee cast iron gutter is a stylish profile which has a sculpted front. The Ogee cast iron gutter profile was a popular design which was regularly used in the Victorian era. As such, this shaped cast iron gutter profile is often found on traditional and Listed buildings as well as in conservation areas.

The Common Ogee profile of the gutter would usually be jointed using a silicone sealant, bolts, nuts and washers (see our gutter and pipe accessories section). A significant number of Common Ogee gutter installations will be fitted to a fascia board directly through the rear of the gutter profile. Our cast iron Common Ogee has three fixing positions across each 6’ (1820mm) length of gutter. Alternative means of fixing include our Ogee fascia brackets, Ogee top or side fixed rafter brackets or our Ogee rise and fall adjustable brackets.
