The ornamental H499 cast iron rainwater head is an impressive hopper with a castellated top and multi-faceted body. The rather unusual appearance is further enhanced by the overstated ears so don’t be caught out by the measurements as this head is not quite as large as it pretends to be.
The narrow tail has an embellishment on the front face leading down to a round outlet.
The H499 ornamental hopper head is shaped like a miniature castle with a large pair of ears on each side. Measuring over 800mm wide this head has a main body which is 360mm wide and a long cylindrical tail which has an embellishment on the front face and leads to a round outlet.
The H499 design of cast iron ornamental hopper head is sized at:
820mm wide (main body is 360mm wide)
210mm deep
370mm high
Some of our cast iron products such as the ornamental rainwater hopper heads and the rectangular and square rainwater pipes are made to order. They are available within the Metal & Glass cast iron range but need to be cast or fabricated with timescales being slightly longer than our off-the-shelf stock products. They can be ordered securely via our website in exactly the same way as ex-stock products. These cast iron made-to-order items are available in both the grey primer and gloss black painted finish.
We can also offer bespoke hoppers to match original designs as well as adapt existing cast iron hoppers by changing outlet sizes and positions.
What separates Metal & Glass Limited from a number of other cast iron rainwater and soil suppliers is our ability to offer bespoke castings. Using skilled pattern makers and moulders, specialist fabricators and painters and over a century of iron casting experience Metal & Glass Limited can provide bespoke cast iron solutions for your project
We can make bespoke castings to suit any building, ancient or modern, but these skills are most in demand by the conservation, heritage and restoration market. There is no need to resort to the various forms of plastic substitutes on offer. Anything that has been cast in the past, for instance during the Victorian era, we can cast. If they could make it back then, we can make it now.
Traditional Cast Iron Foundry Products, Cast Iron Accessories and UK Castings are all from one supplier.
