    Product Details

The Plain Deep Half Round drop end outlet is designed for use at the end of a run of guttering. The external outlet has a socket on one side to connect to the guttering with a plain end and the drop end internally locates inside the socket of the guttering. For further information about the handling of our cast iron rainwater systems, please click on the ‘socket information’ button.

The drop end outlet forms part of our Plain Deep Half Round cast iron gutters range and is available as either an internal or external fitting. The external drop end outlet is designed for use on a plain end of guttering whereas the internal fits inside a socket. This fitting is for use at the end of a run of guttering. For outlet positions in the middle of a run, the Plain Deep Half Round nozzle outlet should be used.

The Plain Deep Half Round drop end outlet is supplied as internal and external rather than left or right hand because, with the Plain Deep Half Round profile, you can decide whether to position your gutter socket on the left or right which will determine which drop end you require.

Sizes for the external drop end outlet are:

4″x3" = 175mm with the centre of the outlet at 60mm

5″x3" = 200mm with the centre of the outlet at 60mm

Sizes for the internal drop end outlet are:

4″x3" = 170mm with the centre of the outlet at 60mm

5″x3" = 200mm with the centre of the outlet at 60mm

The cast iron Plain Deep Half Round drop end outlet is supplied in either a grey primer or gloss black painted finish.

Cast iron gutters and pipes enhance the appearance of both traditional and contemporary projects whilst providing significant benefits over other rainwater systems. Cast iron guttering, pipes and hopper heads offer unrivalled strength, durability, low operational noise levels, environmental benefits and a lifespan that makes the installation of these products a once-in-a-generation event.

Cast iron can be recycled indefinitely without any decline in its properties. It is important to stress that the cast iron used in the production of our cast iron gutters and pipes is from genuine recycling, not downcycling where products can be re-used but have inferior properties compared to their original usage.

Cast iron products are legendary for their durability and long life. Never mind a ten-year builders’ guarantee, properly maintained cast iron rainwater products will last the life of a building. Research has shown that the whole life costs of cast iron over a 100-year life cycle are only a fraction of aluminium or PVC, despite the higher capital cost. Cast iron also has a significantly lower impact in terms of energy consumption and CO2 emissions than PVC and aluminium. Not only that, but when the building has served its purpose and is eventually demolished the cast iron can be recycled and used again.
