The Plain Deep Half Round union clip is designed to join two plain pieces of guttering which have had the sockets cut off. The cast iron gutter union clip sits on the outside of the guttering helping to reduce wastage and costs by re-using cut pieces.
The union clip forms part of our Plain Deep Half Round cast iron gutters range and is designed to reduce wastage by allowing you to reuse cut pieces. This union is specifically for use on the Plain Deep Half Round profile and fits externally to cut pieces.
Sizes for the union clip fittings are:
4″x3″ = 100mm
5″x3″ = 100mm
The cast iron Plain Deep Half Round Union clip is supplied in either a grey primer or gloss black painted finish.
Cast iron gutters and pipes enhance the appearance of both traditional and contemporary projects whilst providing significant benefits over other rainwater systems. Cast iron guttering, pipes and hopper heads offer unrivalled strength, durability, low operational noise levels, environmental benefits and a lifespan that makes the installation of these products a once-in-a-generation event.
Cast iron can be recycled indefinitely without any decline in its properties. It is important to stress that the cast iron used in the production of our cast iron gutters and pipes is from genuine recycling, not downcycling where products can be re-used but have inferior properties compared to their original usage.
Cast iron products are legendary for their durability and long life. Never mind a ten-year builders’ guarantee, properly maintained cast iron rainwater products will last the life of a building. Research has shown that the whole life costs of cast iron over a 100-year life cycle are only a fraction of aluminium or PVC, despite the higher capital cost. Cast iron also has a significantly lower impact in terms of energy consumption and CO2 emissions than PVC and aluminium. Not only that, but when the building has served its purpose and is eventually demolished the cast iron can be recycled and used again.
