The Plain Half Round drop-end outlet is designed for use at the end of a run of guttering. The external outlet has a socket on one side to connect to the guttering with a plain end and the drop end internally locates inside the socket of the guttering.
The drop end outlet forms part of our Plain Half Round cast iron gutters range and is available as either an internal or external fitting. The external drop end outlet is designed for use on a plain end of guttering whereas the internal fits inside a socket. This fitting is for use at the end of a run of guttering. For outlet positions in the middle of a run, the Plain Half Round nozzle outlet should be used.
The Plain Half Round drop end outlet is supplied as internal and external rather than left or right hand because, with the Plain Half Round profile, you can decide whether to position your gutter socket on the left or right which will determine which drop end you require.
Sizes for the external drop end outlet are:
4″ = 200mm with the centre of the outlet at 82mm
4.5″ = 200mm with the centre of the outlet at 81mm
5″ = 200mm with the centre of the outlet at 71mm
6″ = 200mm with the centre of the outlet at 69mm
Sizes for the internal drop end outlet are:
4″ = 200mm with the centre of the outlet at 60mm
4.5″ = 200mm with the centre of the outlet at 60mm
5″ = 200mm with the centre of the outlet at 60mm
6″ = 200mm with the centre of the outlet at 60mm
The cast iron Plain Half Round drop end outlet is supplied in either a grey primer or gloss black painted finish.
This is a genuine cast iron rainwater system supplied by a well-established UK foundry. Offering significantly more benefits than plastic cast iron effect and other rainwater systems, traditional cast iron products are proven to be versatile, durable, and reliable and these sustainable products continue to meet the changing demands of modern industry.
Cast Iron is one of the best choices for rainwater, soil and drain products due to its sustainability, longevity, durability and reliability. It is a cost-effective product that will last the life of a building and beyond and does not contribute to the growing environmental impact caused by the overuse of plastic.
Our Premier Rainwater is a range of traditional cast iron pipes, gutters and fittings available "off the shelf". Included is the common half-round profile; these are cast iron rainwater products which have been used over centuries and continue to outperform many modern alternatives. Properly fitted and maintained our Premier products should be expected to last over 100 years, enhance a building’s exterior appearance and add value. Premier Rainwater Ex Stock is available as Premier Grey Primed or Premier Extra (PX) Black gloss. Other colours in the RAL or BS ranges are available ex-stock but lead times will vary. We also offer Premier Coastal which is essential to help cast iron gutters and pipes meet the rigours of a marine environment.
We can also offer made-to-order cast iron rainwater products. They are available within our range but need to be cast or fabricated with timescales agreed upon in advance. They can be ordered in exactly the same way as ex-stock products. They are available in all the same paint options as Premier Ex Stock.
Through our foundry partners at Hargreaves, we can also offer bespoke cast iron gutter, pipe and hopper options. Hargreaves is a working UK foundry with skilled pattern makers and moulders, specialist fabricators and painters and over a century of iron casting experience at their location in Halifax, Yorkshire. Using our combined experience makes Metal & Glass Limited a leading supplier of cast iron rainwater and drainage products and we are able to provide advice and guidance to help you better understand your cast iron requirements.
