The fixing holes are spaced 80mm apart. This is a quality UK manufactured bracket which is produced from 316 stainless steel material providing unrivaled longevity and excellent strength in all weather. You should use stainless steel fixings with these brackets.
Stainless steel is used because of the corrosion resistance in a wide variety of service environments, usually without additional coatings. In certain circumstances, however, stainless steel components may require a coated (paint) finish so if you are intending to paint these, please ensure that you use the correct primer or your paint will not stick. There are a number of metal paint products available including Hammerite 'Special Metals Primer' which will promote adhesion to stainless steel.
Please note that if you are purchasing for use with other types of guttering such as plastic or aluminium, that the design only has a single return on the cup and would normally rely on the weight of the cast iron to keep the guttering in the cup. The external dimensions of cast iron guttering would usually be slightly wider than plastic or aluminium so if you are going to use these brackets for materials other than cast iron, you may need to secure your guttering to the bracket.
